The Global
Ministries Leadership Team (GMLT), in cooperation with other Center boards and agencies, has
established a weekly time of Intercessory Prayer beginning Tuesday,
November 4. This time of Intercessory Prayer will include Center Staff
and any visitors present at the Cumberland Presbyterian Center and will
take place every Tuesday, 8:30 - 8:40 a.m. (CST) Everyone will meet in the
large conference room in Building One at the Center. The purpose of this time is to lift up concerns and joys of congregations and members and, more extensively, the global/world community. The GMLT will review newsletters and also depend on specific communications from the church at large to add to the intercessory "list." On a rotating
basis individuals will be asked to take responsibility for
opening/closing in prayer and offering up the names publicly for those
gathered---no homily, no sermon, just a 10-minute Season of Prayer.
Field staff, congregations and others are invited to pray
simultaneously in their respective locations. Please join the Center
Staff from your own location every Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. (CST) for ten minutes
of Intercessory Prayer.
As soon as a new administrative assistant has been employed, we will give phone extension and e-mail address so that you may have a contact for your prayer requests.
