on Saturday and was examined on all the branches of study required
by our book, but did not stand an approved examination. We have
before us the overtures from the Troy session for his ordination,
but your committee make no recommendation."

Presbytery voted to ordain Brother J. B. Oakley to-night at 7:30
o'clock, and appointed the Rev.
T.O. Webb to preach the ordination sermon and the Rev.
R. H. Brown to preside and give the charge."
