COOLEY.--The Rev. D.D. Colley, an aged minister of the Charlotte Presbytery, departed this life in peace June 30, 1895. He was seventy-six years old and had been for fifty years a preacher of the gospel in the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He leaves a wife, ten children and many friends and relatives to mourn their loss. His funeral was preached by the Rev. Thomas F. Bowman, July 1, 1895, at Union Chapel, in the presence of a large concourse of people, after which the remains were laid to rest in the cemetery near by, with proper Masonic honors.
