The Cumberland Presbyterian Orphanage was chartered by the Commonwealth of Kentucky in 1904. From 1904 until 1930 the Orphanage was located in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The Orphanage was located in Auburn, Kentucky (in the home of Mr. and Mrs. G. T. Johnson) from 1930 until 1932. In 1932 the Orphanage was was located in Denton, Texas in a remodeled house on six acres of land. In 1939 the first building of the present multi-building facility was built on the present campus in Denton.
