MOUNTAIN
VIEW.--The church building at this place has been undergoing repairs
since August 1. On Sunday, September 20, the congregation again
worshiped in their old home made new to the extent of $250 in
interior repairs. The Lord met with his people and it was a joyful
day. The pastor, Rev. B. F. Whittemore, preached from Hag. 1-8,
on the subject, "Building and Beautifying the Temple."
There were five additions to the membership of the church. This
is the oldest Cumberland Presbyterian Church building in this
State, and has long been needing the repairs just finished. We
are praising God for his help hitherto, and the bright prospects
before us. B. F. WHITTEMORE.
