COLORADO.
PUEBLO.--Rocky
Mountain Presbytery at its recent session made it the
duty of its Permanent Committee on Missions to visit Pueblo and
carefully examine into the condition of our mission in that city.
The committee is clothed with executive power. We have at Pueblo
a plain brick chapel, neatly papered and finished, with four roomed
manse attached. This property is located in South Pueblo, four
block from the Union Depot, and one and a half blocks from street
care line. The congregation was once fairly prosperous, but through
unwise management, the membership has scattered until only about
fifteen remain. Pueblo is a manufacturing center, the second city
of the State, and an important point to us as a church. The Presbytery
has a small fund available for missionary work. Any live, aggressive
preacher who, for health or other consideration, is looking Westward,
is invited to correspond with the Rev. R. W. Lewis, 2023 Race
street, Denver, Col.
P. A. RICE.
